About the Richmond Hill Figure Skating Club

The Richmond Hill Figure Skating Club (RHFSC) is a non-profit, Skate Canada-sanctioned organization that has proudly served the community since 1956. With over six decades of history, RHFSC is committed to promoting and developing the sport of figure skating in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where skaters can thrive both on and off the ice.

Our club offers a comprehensive range of programs for all ages and skill levels including CanSkate for beginners, STARSkate for developing figure skaters, AdultSkate, and competitive training streams such as the Podium Pathway development.

Led by a team of experienced, Skate Canada-certified coaches, RHFSC is dedicated to delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a lifelong love of skating. Whether you're taking your first strides or pursuing competitive excellence, RHFSC provides a welcoming, community-focused environment where every skater is encouraged to reach their full potential.

CanSkate

CanSkate is Skate Canada’s official “Learn to Skate” program. It is highly regarded by other ice sport organizations as the favoured curriculum to develop the skills needed to participate in their sports. It is also an excellent program to teach Canadians to skate for the joy of skating at any age or ability.

STAR 1 - 5

The Skate Canada Star 1-5 program is an introductory figure skating program designed to teach the fundamentals of skating It's divided into five levels, each with its own set of skills and requirements.
 
The program is designed to build a strong foundation for skaters, preparing them for more advanced levels and competitive skating.  It's taught by Skate Canada-certified coaches and is a great way for young skaters to start their journey in figure skating.

AdultSkate

Adult skating is growing in popularity and more and more clubs are offering programing for skaters 18 years and older.

Adult skaters are able to participate in all Skate Canada programs such as Canskate, Star 1 - 5, SynchroSkate and Star 6 - Gold.

Private Lesson Ticket Ice

 

Private Lesson Ticket Ice provides skaters in the Canskate and StarSkate levels with the opportunity to take private lessons with a NCCP Certified Coach.
